Thank you for your interest in Campbell River Search and Rescue. In order to become a member of Campbell River Search and Rescue (CRSAR), there are a number of steps that must first be taken. To begin with, all potential candidates must be 19 years of age or over. New applicants are required to:
- Submit a criminal record check
- Submit a driver's abstract
- Submit a Campbell River Search and Rescue application
- Register with the Campbell River Volunteer Society by completing a registration form
Once all paperwork has been completed, applicants will be invited to attend a required information session. Following this session, applicants still wishing to pursue their interest in CRSAR membership, will be contacted regarding a personal interview.
Successful applicants will be requested to complete the requirements of the Provincial Emergency Program's Ground Search and Rescue course offered by CRSAR instructors.
In order to undergo a Criminal Record check, free of charge, a Campbell River Volunteer form must be completed in full and attached to the CRSAR membership registration form.
The Driver's abstracts can be processed at the Access Centre.
